Across matched 21-run Release samples of a 52,553-node macOS SDK tree, Roomier cut the median scan from 0.2212 seconds to 0.1873 seconds. Every run returned the same file and directory counts, byte totals, access result, and completion state. Measured August 3, 2026 on the development Mac. Directory-heavy benchmark, not a whole-disk comparison.
Today, direct cleanup is limited to fixture-proven SwiftPM build data, unambiguous Git-ignored Web dependencies and default Next.js output, and metadata-proven Xcode project build data with no protected source or archive content. Shared tool containers, package source checkouts, archives, simulator data, and unproven families stay inspect-only or provider-managed.
Explain before clean
Each recognized directory shows what created it, whether it can come back, and what recreating it may cost. Explanations help you decide; deterministic rules control what Roomier may offer to clean.

Build intermediates and indexes that Xcode generates while you work. Xcode recreates them automatically the next time you build — at the cost of one slower first build.

Private by architecture
Roomier scans, classifies, and explains on-device. The website, email list, support, and checkout use the separate services named in Privacy; they never receive your scan.
No app account. No disk uploads. Works with Wi-Fi off.
Explanations use Apple's on-device model. When it isn't available, Roomier's deterministic descriptions take over—scanning and supported cleanup never depend on it.
Roomier is in development. The official download route stays closed until release acceptance passes.
